The Office Go
In collaboration with:
Bachelor Graduation Project
In the summer of 2020, I graduated with my BSc with a project for Pactics. A textile goods manufacturer based in Cambodia. Their current offerings are solely B2B, and to become more independent, they launched a project to create a product to sell on their own.
Flexible working
For their first consumer-oriented product, I focused on a growing trend that got fast-tracked during COVID. Working outside the office in many different places where people would get more inspired while working.
The concept is that, wherever you carry a bag, what if that bag is actually your office? You carry your office essentials and a desk that folds out of the bag.
The Result
The finished product is made from 95% recycled and 100% recyclable materials, some of which originate from the scrap bin at Pactics’ factory. The waste material gets recycled into a protective felt for the laptop sleeve. Every element can be manufactured in its own factory, where it can control product quality and the work environment.
The colourful design fully utilises Pactics' capabilities in sublimation printing and sewing, which also lends itself perfectly to being marketed to the same people in the same place as the gadgets and accessories the product aims to support.
The fold-out laptop sleeve gives structure to the bag and, on location, folds out to a large enough desk for a laptop, notebook, mouse, and keyboard and can fold into various shapes depending on the desired work environment.
